NBC, along with PEOPLE and dick clark productions, announced today that it will air the two-hour special "The PEOPLE MAGAZINE Awards" in late 2014, honoring the cultural forces of the year.
PEOPLE, the world's most successful and popular magazine and celebrity brand reaching more than 53 million consumers each week, is teaming up with NBC and dick clark productions, the world's largest producer and proprietor of television events, for the special.
"The PEOPLE MAGAZINE Awards" is a celebration and recognition of the year's most influential and talked-about people in pop culture, celebrity and Hollywood that have fueled the country's conversations.
"The PEOPLE MAGAZINE Awards" will bestow an assortment of newly-created top honors capturing the year in pop culture, including the Biggest Phenomenon of 2014 and the show's top honor of the night given to the year's Most Popular Person. Awards in other categories include the Most Stylish Person, Funniest Person, Sexiest Woman of 2014 and more. In addition, the show will feature spectacular performances from the most exciting and influential artists and will feature a variety of the year's compelling personalities as presenters. Viewers across the country will also have an opportunity to participate in a fan-voted award.
