Will David Lynch Resurrect TWIN PEAKS?

A new article on blastr suggest David Lynch may be secretly bringing back his cult primetime soap TWIN PEAKS.

But now rumors are circulating that Lynch and Frost could be bringing the show back. Frost told SciFi Now (via Moviehole) in a recent interview that a revival of the show was "something we talk about from time to time," adding that there's a "rich trove to draw from" should they go ahead with it.

But the more substantial chatter is coming as a result of recent reports that Lynch has been taking meetings with NBC, possibly about creating a third season of Twin Peaks for that network (which, by the way, is part of the same company that owns Blastr, in the interest of full disclosure).

Here's where it gets a little vague, though, because some Twitter chatter suggests that the show would take place a short time after the events of the second season, with the Cooper/BOB scenario still playing out, while other reports say that the show would take place 25 years after the original, although it would resolve the plot threads from back then.

The original series ran from April 8, 1990 to June 10, 1991, and starred Kyle MacLachlan, Michael Ontkean, Mädchen Amick, Dana Ashbrook, Richard Beymer, Lara Flynn Boyle, Joan Chen, Eric Da Re, Sherilyn Fenn, Warren Frost, Harry Goaz, Michael Horse, Piper Laurie, Sheryl Lee, Peggy Lipton, James Marshall, Everett McGill, Jack Nance, Kimmy Robertson, Russ Tamblyn, Kenneth Welsh and Ray Wise.
